Monte Napoleone was founded in 1974 by Vincenzo Lapi, a visionary from Treviso, Italy. In the small town of Treviso in northern Italy, Vincenzo started a shirt workshop with a simple ambition: to combine Italian craftsmanship with timeless elegance. The name Monte Napoleone is a symbol of that dream - “Monte” (mountain) reflects the challenges and peaks that must be overcome to achieve success, while “Napoleone” honors Vincenzo's roots in Naples, the city where his journey began.
Over the decades, Vincenzo built a brand known for quality and meticulous care. In 2017, the story took a new turn when Monte Napoleone partnered with DC Garment, a reputable shirt workshop in Vietnam. This partnership combined traditional craftsmanship with modern management, and under Vincenzo's leadership, Monte Napoleone entered a new wave of growth and refinement.
But like many businesses, 2020 became a turning point. The pandemic hit hard, and Monte Napoleone stood on the brink of bankruptcy. That's when Tri Minh Dang, co-founder and CEO of DC Garment, made a bold decision: he took over the Monte Napoleone brand license, determined to rebuild it from the ground up. His vision was clear - bring made-to-order clothing to everyone, entirely online. He launched an online store where customers could customize shirts to their own measurements, completely free. This breakthrough concept brought personalized fit and luxury closer to everyone, straight from the factory.
In 2021, Monte Napoleone entered the Scandinavian market, headquartered in Oslo. Here, Italian-style design was adapted to fit Scandinavian values: simplicity, quality, and a spirit of innovation. Monte Napoleone's philosophy is simple but powerful: everyone deserves perfectly fitting clothes, regardless of shape or size, with no hidden costs.
